Idaho Democrat and District 1 congressional candidate Kaylee Peterson has scheduled a debate with independent Sarah Zabel on October 20, from 7 – 8:30pm Mountain Time. Incumbent Russ Fulcher has been invited, but is not expected to attend.
When the event was originally announced (see below), it was scheduled for October 17. It has since been rescheduled.
The event will take place at Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian, Idaho. It will also be live streamed, so people all over Idaho can watch.
Register to attend at Mobilize and you’ll receive a link to the live stream.

While the Constitution candidate, Brendan Gomez, is on the ballot, he recently pled guilty to two counts of felony possession of child sexual abuse materials and has not been invited to this event.
Earlier in 2026, Kaylee conducted a virtual debate with an absent Fulcher. During that event, a moderator asked questions and Fulcher’s public statements were read as answers. Kaylee responded in person.
